Why Choose RTX 6000 Ada

Workstation-class graphics, FP8 Tensor inference, triple AV1 media engines and vGPU support on one 300 W card.

The full AD102 die with 48 GB of ECC memory

The RTX 6000 Ada is the complete Ada Lovelace AD102 GPU: 18,176 CUDA cores, 568 Tensor Cores, 142 RT Cores and 48 GB of GDDR6 with ECC at 960 GB/s, so large scenes, 30B-parameter language models and 8K timelines stay resident on one card.

Fourth-generation Tensor Cores with FP8

1,457 AI TOPS of FP8 Tensor throughput with sparsity and 728 TFLOPS of FP16/BF16 accelerate LLM and diffusion inference, fine-tuning and computer vision, with TensorRT handling FP8 and INT8 quantization.

Third-generation RT Cores for path tracing

210.6 TFLOPS of RT Core performance renders path-traced scenes interactively in Omniverse, Blender, V-Ray, Redshift, Arnold and Unreal Engine, and turns a single server into a fast final-frame render node.

Three AV1 media engines

Three NVENC encoders with AV1 and three NVDEC decoders transcode many simultaneous streams on one card; AV1 delivers higher quality per bit than H.264 and H.265, which lowers bandwidth for live video, cloud gaming and video AI pipelines.

Virtual workstations with vGPU

NVIDIA RTX Virtual Workstation support partitions the 48 GB frame buffer into multiple GPU-accelerated virtual desktops, so one server hosts a team of CAD, DCC or data science users with certified professional drivers.

300 W, PCIe Gen 4, bare metal

A dual-slot, active-cooled, 300 W card on PCIe Gen 4 x16 fits standard server chassis in single and dual-GPU builds. Every server is single-tenant with full root and IPMI access, NVMe storage, unmetered uplinks and no setup fee.

Ideal Use Cases

From Omniverse and render farms to LLM inference and VDI, see where the RTX 6000 Ada fits your team.

Professional Visualization & Omniverse

Interactive ray-traced design review, digital twins and USD-based collaboration in NVIDIA Omniverse with 48 GB for full-fidelity scenes.

Generative AI Inference

Serve LLMs up to about 30B parameters at FP8 or INT8, diffusion and vision models on one card; add a second RTX 6000 Ada for larger models sharded across both GPUs.

Video AI & AV1 Transcoding

Real-time video analytics, live transcoding and cloud streaming using three NVENC with AV1 and three NVDEC engines alongside Tensor Core inference.

Virtual Workstations & VDI

RTX Virtual Workstation vGPU profiles give remote engineers, artists and analysts certified GPU acceleration from a single dedicated server.

CAD, CAE & Simulation

SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, Ansys, Abaqus and GPU-accelerated solvers benefit from 91.1 TFLOPS FP32, ECC memory and ISV-certified drivers.

Render Farms & Final-Frame Rendering

Dual RTX 6000 Ada render nodes with 96 GB of combined memory for Blender Cycles, V-Ray, Redshift, Arnold and OctaneRender batch jobs.

Deep Dive & FAQs

Common questions about RTX 6000 Ada versus L40S and L4, model sizes, NVLink and MIG, vGPU, multi-GPU builds, and provisioning.

RTX 6000 Ada vs L40S: which should I choose?

Both cards use the same AD102 silicon with 48 GB of memory, so compute is nearly identical: 728 TFLOPS FP16 with sparsity on the RTX 6000 Ada versus 733 TFLOPS on the L40S. The RTX 6000 Ada has faster memory (960 GB/s versus 864 GB/s), a lower 300 W maximum power, active cooling, four DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and RTX Virtual Workstation vGPU support, which makes it the better pick for visualization, VDI and mixed graphics plus AI. The L40S is a 350 W passive server card built for dense, headless AI and inference racks. See our NVIDIA L40S GPU server page for that configuration.

How large a model can I run on one RTX 6000 Ada?

With 48 GB of GDDR6 you can serve language models up to about 30 billion parameters at FP8 or INT8 precision on a single card, along with diffusion and vision models, with room left for KV cache and batching. A dual RTX 6000 Ada server provides 96 GB in total, so larger models can be sharded across both GPUs over PCIe Gen 4 with tensor or pipeline parallelism.

Does the RTX 6000 Ada support NVLink or MIG?

No. The RTX 6000 Ada has no NVLink connector and does not support Multi-Instance GPU. Multi-GPU servers communicate over PCIe Gen 4 x16, which is sufficient for inference sharding and render farms. For hardware partitioning, the card supports NVIDIA vGPU with RTX Virtual Workstation instead of MIG, which splits the frame buffer into virtual GPUs for multiple users or tenants.

Is the RTX 6000 Ada a good choice for VDI and virtual workstations?

Yes. It is one of the few Ada Lovelace cards with NVIDIA vGPU and RTX Virtual Workstation support, 48 GB of ECC memory and professional ISV-certified drivers. One dedicated server can host several remote engineers or artists running CAD, DCC and data science tools, each with a slice of GPU memory and full RTX acceleration.

Can I order multi-GPU configurations and are there discounts?

Yes. Single and dual RTX 6000 Ada configurations are available, and our engineers can size host CPU, RAM, NVMe and uplinks for your workload. Volume discounts apply to multi-GPU and multi-server orders, and every GPU server qualifies for committed-term discounts on 6 and 12-month billing. Crypto, card, PayPal and bank wire are accepted.

How fast is provisioning and what access do I get?

Stocked RTX 6000 Ada builds are online in about 1 hour; configurations not in stock are built to order and our engineers confirm the lead time before you commit. You get full root and IPMI access to a single-tenant server with unmetered 1, 10 or 25 Gbps bandwidth and no setup fee. Choose Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky or AlmaLinux, Windows Server or your own ISO, and we preinstall the NVIDIA driver and CUDA toolkit on request. Browse our full GPU dedicated server range if you need a different accelerator.

RTX 6000 Ada vs L4: when is the smaller card enough?

The NVIDIA L4 is a 24 GB, 72 W card for low-power inference and video at scale. Choose the L4 when you need many inexpensive, energy-efficient streams or small models; choose the RTX 6000 Ada when you need 48 GB of memory, 91.1 TFLOPS FP32, ray tracing, display outputs or vGPU. See our NVIDIA L4 GPU server page for the lower-power option.

What about the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell successor?

NVIDIA's RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell is the next-generation workstation GPU and is listed on our site as coming soon, with reservations open. The RTX 6000 Ada ships today from stock, is fully supported by current CUDA, TensorRT and Omniverse releases, and remains the proven choice for visualization, video and inference workloads. Talk to our team if you want to start on RTX 6000 Ada now and move to Blackwell later.
